Happy Mother's Day!

Everyday on the Trail, we are reminded of our parents - who taught us both just how incredible the great outdoors can be - and got us out there as much as possible.
So this morning, being Mother's Day, we are especially missing and thinking of our Moms, Virginia and Emilie, and wishing we could be with them. We are also missing our kids, Elise and Sean, and new son-in-law, Daniel, who make everyday special for us, and we are excited to know we will see them next Monday, when they will come and pick us up at a road crossing!
We are also excited about a Hiker Feed we will attend later today at a road crossing, where they promise multiple Dutch ovens of lasagna, rolls, cobblers, salads and fresh fruit. Should be a big 'old Mother's Day bash with a big group of our newest friends.
Happy Mothers Day everyone! Give your mom a hug!
I hope you enjoy this special Mother's Day wildlife documentary of a wild creature that paid me a visit at breakfast!

This is the exciting part - he didn't slip at all! How does he do it?
